1. Scope of application
These general terms and conditions apply to all quotes, orders and services provided by M&T Group SRL (hereinafter "M&T Rénov"), with registered office at Groeneweg 17, 9320 Aalst (Erembodegem), Belgium. Any order implies full acceptance of these conditions.
2. Quotes and orders
- Our quotes are free of charge and prepared based on a prior site visit or information provided by the client.
- Each quote is valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated.
- A quote only commits M&T Rénov after written acceptance by the client (signature of the quote or confirmation by email).
- Any modification requested by the client after acceptance of the quote will be subject to a written amendment and may result in a price and timeline revision.
3. Prices
- Prices stated in our quotes are expressed in euros and are VAT inclusive, unless otherwise stated.
- Prices are firm and final for the services described in the quote.
- Additional work not included in the original quote will be invoiced separately after written agreement from the client.
4. Payment terms
- A 30% deposit of the total amount is required upon signing the quote.
- The balance is payable upon completion of the works, unless otherwise agreed on the quote.
- For long-duration projects, interim payments may be arranged based on work progress.
- In case of late payment, a late payment interest of 10% per annum will be applied automatically, in accordance with the Belgian law of 2 August 2002 on combating late payment in commercial transactions.
5. Execution deadlines
- Execution deadlines mentioned in the quote are given as an indication and do not constitute a firm commitment.
- Potential delays cannot give rise to penalties, damages or order cancellation, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- In case of force majeure (bad weather, material unavailability, pandemic, etc.), deadlines are extended accordingly.
6. Acceptance of works
- Upon completion of the works, a provisional acceptance is carried out in the presence of the client.
- The client has 8 days after provisional acceptance to report any visible defect in writing.
- The absence of written remarks within this period constitutes definitive acceptance of the works.
7. Warranties
- Decennial warranty (10 years): in accordance with articles 1792 and 2270 of the Belgian Civil Code, M&T Rénov is liable for 10 years for serious defects affecting the solidity or stability of the building or an essential element.
- Biennial warranty (2 years): finishing elements and minor works benefit from a 2-year warranty from provisional acceptance.
- Warranties do not cover damage resulting from abnormal use, lack of maintenance, modifications made by the client or a third party, or force majeure.
8. Cancellation
- Any cancellation by the client after signing the quote must be notified in writing.
- In case of cancellation, the paid deposit will be retained as a flat-rate indemnity, unless the works have not yet started and no material orders have been placed.
9. Liability
M&T Rénov is covered by professional liability insurance. Its liability is limited to direct damage resulting from the execution of works. M&T Rénov cannot be held liable for indirect or immaterial damage.
10. Data protection
Personal data collected in the context of our services is processed in accordance with our privacy policy and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
11. Right of withdrawal
In accordance with Book VI of the Belgian Code of Economic Law, the consumer has 14 calendar days from the conclusion of a distance contract to exercise the right of withdrawal, without penalty and without giving any reason. This right does not apply if the work has begun, with the consumer's agreement, before the expiry of this period.

12. Dispute resolution and mediation
In case of dispute, the parties commit to seeking an amicable solution. The consumer may also use the free Consumer Mediation Service:

Failing agreement, the courts of the judicial district of Brussels shall have sole jurisdiction. Belgian law applies.
13. Amendment of conditions
M&T Rénov reserves the right to modify these general terms and conditions at any time. The applicable conditions are those in force at the time of signing the quote.
